Bright cells are accents, dim ones are ghost notes. Each row is a pad; each column is a 16th note.

What you'll play

8th hats with 16th bursts, split across two hat pads. The closed hat keeps 8ths. A second hat pad (pedal hat) fills the 16ths in between: on beat 4 of bar 2, and on beats 2 and 4 of bar 4, just before the clap and the next bar.

Tip: At 140 a 16th run is too fast for one finger. Two fingers make it easy.

Hear it first

The bursts sound like the hats suddenly double their speed.

Play it clean

Right middle closed hat, right index pedal hat: two fingers taking turns, never one finger twice. Pass with 85% as the tempo goes 116 → 126 → 136 BPM.
