What we collect
We collect only what we need to run fingerdrum and save your progress.
- Account details.Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- Practice data. The goals you pick, lessons you finish, checkpoint results, and per-loop scores like accuracy and timing.
- Settings.Pad mapping, latency offset, velocity curve and kit choice.
- Kits you make.Samples you upload to your own kits, if you're on Pro.
- Usage data.Pages visited, device type and browser, used to fix bugs and improve lessons.
MIDI and audio
Your hits are processed in your browser. We never record audio and we don't use your microphone. Raw MIDI input stays on your device; only the scores calculated from it are saved to your account.
How we use it
- To build your path and pick up where you left off on any device.
- To give you feedback and adjust tempo as you practice.
- To send account emails, such as password resets and billing receipts.
- To understand which lessons work and which need improving.
We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
Using fingerdrum without an account
If you continue without an account, we create a guest account tied to this browser and store your progress with it. Clearing your browser's cookies loses access to it. Claiming your account later keeps everything. Guest accounts unused for 30 days are deleted.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Most of this is in Profile & settings. For anything else, email us and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your data, except billing records we're required to keep by law.
